IVYPAC™ Congratulates Lauren Underwood on Her Election to Congress to Represent Illinois' 14th Congressional District

This is Representative-Elect Underwood's first elected office.

New York, NY, November 7, 2018 - IVYPAC, a political action committee (PAC) formed to support the sorority sisters of the PAC’s founders, congratulates IVYPAC's candidate Lauren Underwood on her election to Congress to represent Illinois' 14th Congressional District.

"IVYPAC is excited to congratulate Representative-Elect Lauren Underwood on her victory. With her experience as a registered nurse and as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in President Barack Obama's administration, Ms. Underwood will undoubtedly be a strong advocate for policies to improve the Affordable Care Act; lower prescription drug prices; reform our mental health care system; and expand health care coverage to reduce the number of uninsured Americans," noted Ramona Prioleau, Chair and Co-Founder of IVYPAC.

"As a first-time candidate, Ms. Underwood will be a fresh face on Capitol Hill advocating for her constituents in Illinois' 14th Congressional District,” added Prioleau.

In April 2018, a group of politically-savvy sorority sisters from New York, New Jersey, Ohio, California, Florida and Illinois banded together to form IVYPAC to help elect their sorority sisters to public office. The IVYPAC founders are all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
