The political action committee adds one primary and one general election candidate in this round of endorsements.
New York, NY, May 8, 2020 - IVYPAC®, a political action committee (PAC) formed to offer fundraising and grassroots support to sorority members of the PAC’s founders, announced its third slate of endorsements for 2020. This round of endorsements includes select candidates vying for the United States House of Representatives.
“The candidates that IVYPAC added to its list are women that have a history of public service,” said Ramona Prioleau, Chair and Co-Founder of IVYPAC.
“Honorable Patricia Timmons-Goodson is renowned for her distinguished service as a jurist, having served as a former Judge and Associate Justice on Supreme Court of North Carolina, as well as a member of the United States Commission on Civil Rights,” noted Prioleau.
Former Associate Justice Timmons-Goodson secured the Democratic Party nomination in March, 2020 and is seeking election in North Carolina's 8th Congressional District.
“IVYPAC is also endorsing candidate Melissa Borom, an experienced government affairs executive who previously worked for the Congressional offices of Indiana’s Congressman Pete Visclosky and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL),” said Prioleau.
“While on Capitol Hill, Borom also worked for the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations,” continued Prioleau.
Ms. Borom is seeking election in Indiana's 1st Congressional District.
IVYPAC will support the candidates in a number of ways, including activating the PAC’s vast grassroots network.
