Patrice Marshall McKenzie, Director and Co-Founder

Patrice Marshall McKenzie is skilled professional adept in the Legislative Process, public affairs and media relations. She possesses a well-rounded repertoire of skills and expertise, including policy development, community relations, event management and design, and human resources to name a few.

Patrice currently serves at the Deputy Chief of Staff for LAUSD Board Member Dr. George McKenna. Her primary responsibilities include the development and implementation of policy priorities, intergovernmental relations and supervising staff. Previously, Ms. McKenzie served as Field Representative with the office of Assembly Speaker Emeritus Karen Bass as a direct liaison and local spokesperson between key stakeholders of the 47th Assembly District and the Member.

Patrice’s professional career is augmented by an equal portfolio of community service. She actively participates in organizations such as the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI), the National Women’s Political Caucus, UC Berkeley College Fair Alumni Ambassador, Pasadena NAACP, LA Trust for Children’s Health, Assemblymember Chris Holden’s 41st Assembly District Advisory Board, and the Pasadena chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Ms. McKenzie is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in African American Studies and holds an MPA degree from Bernard M. Baruch School of Public Affairs at the City University of New York.
